Paul Merrywell CIO of Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) and Sean O’Brien, VP of Pcubed, discuss rapidly implementing and embedding portfolio management for today’s healthcare organizations to drive speed to value. Healthcare companies need to see results quickly, and they need to embed new processes and technologies to capture the benefits and optimize their resources. Paul and Sean will profile the approach they used to implement portfolio management at MSHA and how they were able to jointly deliver in 6 months what Paul had seen take years to accomplish in other organizations.

Paul Merrywell is the Chief Information Officer at Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) is a not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Johnson City, Tennessee that operates a family of hospitals serving Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Southeastern Kentucky, and Western North Carolina, employing some 13,500 staff.

Sean O’Brien is a VP at Pcubed, the largest independent global consulting firm uniquely focused on program portfolio and change management. Sean has 30 years of experience delivering complex programs and business transformation for his clients with deep industry expertise in healthcare and the public sector.
