How to To add a task with dates to the timeline, first select the "Task" tab in the ribbon. Then, click on the "Add New Task" button in the "Tasks" group. A new task will be added to the timeline with the default name of "Task1". You can then change the name of the task by clicking on it and typing in a new name. To add a start date and end date to the task, click on the "Start" and "Finish" columns respectively and select a date from the calendar that appears. You can also add a duration to the task by clicking on the "Duration" column and typing in a number of days.
