Enterprise Resource Management using MS Project Server & Portfolio Server 2007

One of the most compelling reasons for adopting Microsoft’s integrated Enterprise Project Management (EPM) tool is to gain visibility and control over the allocation and demand for project resources. Enterprise resource management begins with project requests/ideas that contain high level requirements for generic resources over an estimated future timeframe.  Once a project request is approved, named enterprise resources are substituted for generic ones thus yielding valuable data on proposed as well as actual project resource utilization.

During this session, the powerful integration of Project Portfolio Server 2007 and Project Server 2007 will be demonstrated to show how the use of these tools can enable project, resource and functional managers can fly by instruments rather than by the seat of their pants.
