The conclusion is that you have a corrupt view. Try opening a file that has the add new column” in the view that isn’t working. Go into File –> Info –> Organizer and copy the good view from the file that works into your Global.mpt. Then close the good file and open the corrupt one and see that that fixes the problem with the view.
If it is happening on multiple views in the file, copy the tasks and paste a new blank file.
