Now moving to the realm of comical…:-). One more try. Could the projects that you are having trouble with have been created using Project Standard. Inactive tasks are not available in Project Standard. I only have the Pro version so I don’t know what happens if projects are created and opened between versions. In my opinion it should work if you are using Pro, but I honestly can’t think of anything else.
