Here at QC, we are using 2010 (Project Pro and PWA 2010). We had many issues with appl crashing while PMs editing the files. The cause for crashing can be different from incident to incident.
The best route I would recommend for your PM to caputure Window’s event log when it happens ( Right click on the Computer icon in one’s desktop, then select “Manage” option. Inside the Computer Management window, expand the “Event Viewer” Windows Logs and then click on the “Application”. A listing of all events will be display for the users. Ask your users to select “Error” entry + the “Information” entry below the error one, and with a right mouse click and save the log by selecting “Save Selected Events…” option).
