Hello Kim —

In order to effectively model resource supply and demand in Project Server, one approach is to develop project schedules to represent your products and model each side (supply vs. demand) with a set of enterprise resources You then map the supply & demand resources together with an enterprise resource custom field that represents the role or skillset of each resource.

If you’re planning to attend the Microsoft Project Conference in Phoenix, AZ in the spring, then I will be presenting a session titled ‘Managing Resource Supply and Demand with Microsoft Project Server 2010

Visit the Microsoft Project Conference web site for more information about the conference (http://www.msprojectconference.com); a detailed agenda and topical descriptions will be posted as we draw closer to the conference date.

If you’re not planning to attend the conference, then you may want to consider it… it’s a very valuable learning and networking opportunity.

Good luck!
