Adding Details pane in custom view

Does Project give you the option to add the details pane into your custom view? I want to open up a view, have a standard Gantt table in the top view, and a status sheet table in the bottom Details pane, but have not found any options that make me think this is possible without a macro.

Not sure what you mean by a status sheet but you can certainly setup a combination view. Go to any view list and then to More views, and select to create a New view. There you can define it as a single view or a combination view. A combination view is the top/bottom view and can interact depending on what you choose to select. Remember that the bottom view interacts with the top, for instance a Gantt chart on the top will display information on the selected task in the Task form on the bottom. Hope that helps…
