      I use timeline view (detailed) as a reporting tool for my boss; e.g. I zoom in to the next 4 weeks of the project, and show the project phases and tasks. Does anyone know any tips or tricks to make this more visually appealing or useful/comprehensive? (I use MS Project 2010).

      The ability to set a start/end date for a timeline bar is available in Project 2016. Otherwise it will require some manual tweaking after you copy it to the presentation.

      Thanks Larry. This helped. I also asked a new question to see if there isn’t a better way to do weekly or monthly reporting to a supervisor/director. My gantt is unwieldy.
