assignig resources and machines

Hello,

I’m testmanager in a lab.
I have to plan the workers as well as the testing machines.

I have a limitied number of workers and a limited number of testmachines.
The test duration should be determined by the availability of the worker and the testmachines.

I read both resources should be “work” type.

And here is my Problem:
If both are “work” and I assign both of them to the Task, the Duration will be wrong.
It’s like two man working on a Task….

Any idea how to get rif of this?

Try setting your tasks Task Type to Fixed Units and Effort Driven to (unselect the checkbox). If that works, you can set these settings as default for new tasks in your settings. Let me know if this works or if you need more details. Good luck…
