John, I think the answer is more about the data and less about the tool or environment. What are you using for planned time? Planned time in the timesheet is simply the assignment Work, which as you know gets changed during the process to match actual work once it is entered. So the typical option is to use Assignment Baseline Work for planned work. That doesn’t change when actuals are entered. Otherwise, I’m seen customers extract data on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.) and then manipulate that data for comparison. That, as you can tell, is not the easy button. Hope that helps…
