I have to create swimlane ppt slides, from a list of activities. This effort is very intensive in PowerPoint. does anyone know of a tool that will easily take an excel spreadsheet and create a nice powerpoint swimlane presentation. In essence when the excell spreadsheet dates, change I like to have it generate a swimlane as opposed to having to make the changes manually on the PPT slide.
Have you tried using the Grouping within Microsoft Project to create the swimlane that using a screen caputure tool to copy and paste them into Powerpoint. This way you could modify dates and move tasks from one group to another and re-capture easily.
Are the activities stored in a Microsoft Project schedule? I think John’s suggestion assumes that they are in MSProject, but your question only mentions pulling them from Excel.
