I have multiple resources within multiple buildings, for example assets 1 thru’ 4 in building 1, 5 thru’ 10 in building 2 etc. I’ve filled the resource sheet with the assets as the resource name and building number as a custom field (text3).
I’m looking to make assets unavailable when the building is taken out of service (statutory inspections etc.) i.e. the inspection task overrides asset tasks or at least shows a conflict on the timeline for example.
Ideas? or preferably solutions 🙂
Danny, try creating a calendar for each building, assign that calendar to each of the resources for those buildings, and then setup non-working time for when the building is out of service. Does that sound like it might help?
