Embedding Checklists under a Task

I Primavera P6 I used to be able to add a checklist and the task under which this checklist was embedded could not be completed until all the checklist items were marked as complete.
I have a client now who wants this for very technical tool installations. One solution is to add checklist items as tasks with no predecessor nor successor but this is an awkward solution that does not ensure completion of all items before that task can be completed.

Any thoughts appreciated.
