Is it possible to add folders in the template area MSP2010 Prod Template Area. We have a large number of projects that need to grouped in some manner for ease of use (finding the project quickly) and for visability of Version or Blockpoints. My admin says the tool can’t do it?

Alexandria – Not sure exactly what you mean by the Prod Template area. There are several types of templates within Project Server; Site Templates, Schedule Templates, List templates (SharePoint) to name a few.

If you are looking to create document folders you can do that in any SharePoint site. If you want to group project schedules, you’ll need to create a custom field (Program?) and use it to group projects within the same program in a custom Project Center view. Alternately, you could create a Master Schedule with your sub-projects inserted into it.

Alexandria:  Good question but unfortunately not.  All you have available is to group alphabetically.
