I have a gantt full of tasks and many predecessors.
i want to create a view\report that i will be able to see the milestones and all the tasks that need to be acomplish in order to achieve the milestone.
i don’t want just to see the id of the tasks, i want to see the complete name.
i can’t find any way to be able to see in that way.
Bar and Amir, this can be done but does require a bit of setup (also note that it is probably one milestone at a time). Two steps to get there. First, on the Gantt, go to Format / Task Path and choose to highlight predecessors. This will show all predecessors for a particular task. Second (and this is the manual part), add the Marked column or create a custom flag field to make all tasks that are highlighted for a specific milestone. Now you can create a report filtering for that custom field. It’s a bit manual and you can only do one milestone at a time, but there is no out of box option to group or show predecessors for each milestone in a single report. Hope that helps…
