Master MS Project with multiple sub projects

Morning Everyone,

Little introduction as this is my first post. PM/CM for many years and not new to MS Project, but i would say new to the more complex functions of the program. Currently using MS Project Online.

I am interested in the capability of setting up a master plan and then assigning sub projects to the relevant people. I assume this master plan needs to be hosted on to some sort of server and me to allow access. Where is the best place to start to learn about this topic?

Ideal situation:

Master plan consisting of 4 sub projects. I assign each sub project to a relevant person. That person updates their assign tasks, which in turn, updates the master document.

Would be great to talk through the process with people here, but if there are training videos available happy to watch those.
