      Is there a good reference or demo that explains how work items in TFS that are tested can show up on a plan as completed?

      Have you found the online resources and virtual machine that are available via the Microsoft web site?

      There are some documents that you can download (top of the download list on the page) that describe how the integration / connector” works, as well as a Hyper-V virtual machine that you can download, install, and play with.
