      I am using Project 2010, frequently in my gantt chart view some summary tasks would freeze and would not expand any more. I can go to another view such as a tracking gantt or create a new view and that will function normally. Any suggestions??

      Are you using manual scheduled tasks?  Manual scheduled tasks will not calculate summary values.   If you don’t have the SP1 patch, get it as Mike as suggested.
