Project 2016 – Copying and Pasting Tasks into Schedules

I seem to be having a problem copying and pasting tasks from one schedule into another. I used to be able do this in the past when I needed identical tasks in another schedule. I would have to re-establish the links but at least I didn’t have to retype everything. I don’t seem to be able to do this anymore. Is anybody else having the same problem?

With a little help from a friend, it looks like you can still copy and paste from one project schedule to another as long as the columns in each of the schedules are the same. I was using a custom view that had a different table assigned to the view in the receiving schedule; that was preventing me from being able to copy and paste from the originating schedule into the receiving schedule.
