Anyone has experinece with using Jira (www.atlassian.com/software/jira/overview) as a planning and control tool?
From my short experience with this system (I’m new in the organization) it seems like an excellent tool for collaboration between teams, bug tracking and information sharing.
What I am missing as the Project Manager are the basic abilities as I used to have with MS Porject : planning by using information like effort and dependencies, saving past info for future comparison (baseline), seeing a general trend of the project.
In one word, I’m missing control of the development process.
I’ll be happy to hear any comments or experience that can help me manage the project.
