      All,

I would like to produce a document that has the following columns:  Task Name, % complete, Work, Duration, Start, Finish, and Resource Name.  In MSOP 2003 project allowed you to save as HTML and you could map the fields that you wanted exported.  This save as HTML feature also kept the Hiearchy of the schedule.  Does anyone know how to produce a similiar report from MSOP 2010.  I need this document to be editable preferably in MS Excel format.

      Thanks in Advance,

      CLB

File | Save As Excel Workbook.   Select the fields you require (defined as a map) , and it’ll save as an xls file.  If you require to do this multiple times, save the map” too.  In order to keep the hiearchy, you’ll need to include the Outline Level, but this won’t auto indent it in Excel, you’ll need to write a macro to do that.

The easiest way to do this is to have the columns you need in 2010, highlight, copy and paste into excel. While MSP 2007 did not retain indent level or bolding of summary tasks, 2010 does!

This is what I am currently doing.  Was hoping to find a way to do this a little quicker.  I have anywhere from 20 to 50 active files.

If the file does not need to be editable, use the option to save it as a PDF. This will give an exact copy of what you have in your current ciew.
