Bob, great question but tough answer. The best option is to use Microsoft’s resource leveling feature, but there are also manual options depending on the size and complexity of the project. For Microsoft’s leveling option, any response with a set of steps could be dangerous without a lot of background and best practices on setting up the schedule. There are actually several MPUG webinars available to view that can help, including a three-part series I did on managing resource constrained projects (recommended video of course…:-). Not a straight answer but hope that helps.
