Brightline: A New Arm of PMI

Cornelius Fichtner of The PM Podcast recently recorded an episode on how Brightline is bridging the gap between strategy design and delivery. He welcomed Brightline’s Executive Director, Ricardo Vargas, to talk about the history of the initiative, the ten principles developed that help organizations get to delivery, and how project managers can apply Brightline tools to their projects.

For those of you who don’t know, Brightline is a new strategic arm of Project Management Institute (PMI).® As stated on their website, “The Brightline™ Initiative delivers insights and solutions that empower leaders to successfully transform their organization’s vision into reality through strategic initiative management.”

As Cornelius Fichtner says, “There’s no shortage of great ideas, whether you are going through a transformation or adapting to digital innovation, but not every great idea becomes a reality. Pinpointing ‘why’ is at the core of the Brightline initiative’s mission.”
