Overview of the PMBOK® Guide Seventh Edition – Lesson 2

Event Description:
The next generation of the PMBOK® Guide presents a major breaking point with legacy options. Where the previous versions were primarily process-prescriptive, this edition provides a wealth of considerations gathered from seasoned professionals from across the globe.  What adaptations and changes had PMI made to the PMBOK® Guide and how are they relevant to how we currently practice project management?

Lesson 2: The 12 Project Management Principles
In this second session, we will discuss the 12 Project Management Principles that serve as the foundational guidelines for strategy, decision-making, and problem-solving as defined in PMI’s The Standard for Project Management.

  • Outline and explore each of the Principles and their significance

  1. PMBOK Guide 7th Edition Part 2
    Jon did an excellent job of reviewing the stewardship/leadership qualities and focuses needed to be leaders and how PMBOK discusses that. Leadership is just important to get a team to function within the company’s processes.
