Project Management with Microsoft Tools

Project Management Institute (PMI)® Professional Development Units (PDUs):
This Webinar is eligible for 1 PMI® PDU in the Strategic category of the Talent Triangle.

Event Description:

Project management is even more important than ever as organizations try to slim down budgets and complete projects on time and within the allotted budget. When was the last time that you could say that the majority of the projects you worked on were adequately planned and completed within the timeline and budget? Although the majority of projects get done and are close to budget, there is always that one that got away…

Working on a project as a resource or being the project manager defiantly has its difficulties. One of the biggest struggle that organizations have is deciding what technology to use when communication, planning and reporting on their project. Microsoft has a few different options for Project Managers to use to assist in managing and planning a project.

– Office 365 Planner
– Microsoft Project
– Microsoft Project Server
– Microsoft SharePoint
– Microsoft Project Professional with SharePoint
– Office 365 Groups
– Office Connectors

By the end of the presentation, the participants will:
– Understand the different options within Microsoft for easing the communication struggle in Project Management
– Develop an in-depth understanding of the Office 365 options for light weight project management.

  1. The presentation provided a very good update and comparison of application roles and responsibilities. Obviously this is a great starting point for identifying which apps to review or update on with a sense of priority.

This presentation is also a great refresh for all of us deep into our project work, etc., and in organizations that are using different versions, different processes and priorities, and for other reasons we do not get the hands on while performing daily or at least routinely. Thanks
