How would you approach the challenge of sharing MS Project data with the entire team when some members use Apple devices?  Assume they do not all have BootCamp or VM ware.

You might consider getting an MS Project viewer that will run either in the Apple environment or in the Windows environment.  Viewers are free or low in price.  Just Google on MS Project viewer. If that isn’t an option, design reports that show the information you need to share and publish them to a Sharepoint site or some other platform as a pdf.

I would recommend that you publish the project to a SharePoint site, this would allow users to view, update and manage their tasks assignments.  As they updated their tasks, then you could interface with the site and update your project.  SharePoint is available on a Mac and they would not have direct access to the MS Project file.   No need to load anything on their machines or yours.  MS Project 2010 has this functionality built into the product.

If you are on an earlier version of MSProject or need additional functions their is an add on tool called Project Publisher, which can be purchased from the following link.

You can read more about it at this link: https://www.myepm.net/SitePages/Home.aspx or purchase at the following link https://www.plimus.com/jsp/buynow.jsp?contractId=1711030&referrer=PMProviders

You might consider the iPad apps that the folks at I2E Consulting are providing.  There is a version that will allow direct project server updates with some administration.  The apps are available on the App Store by searching for Gantt Pro Lite or view their website: https://www.i2econsulting.com/ganttlite/ganttlite.html.

      Michael,

I use the LiveProject on my Ipad and it is very good. The PC version has a sensational Dashboard for each project that you can view and a sensational Portfile Darshboard!

      I recommend !

In my experience, you have two choices: .pdf or export to Excel.

If you just want to share a visual of the plan you could save it as a PDF file. Did you want multiple team members to be able to update it?

Thanks for the viewer suggestion.  I wish I could find an app that would let apple users also update a .mpp file. Just a hint to MicroSoft.
