For a work effort based project, how do I use predecessors to have have a task finish date  end when the project ends. span the length of the project. Example: task is Scope Management which will span the duration of the project. If I use predecessors to set the task Start date (FS) – start date sets as desired. If I use predecessors to set the Finish date using FF (last task of the project) it changes the start date.  I have tried making the task Duration based, added and deleted resources and cannot get it to work. Suggestions?

      Hi Susan,
What you need is a hammock tasks that spans the project. Please see FAQ Item: 19. Hammock Tasks. FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at this web address: https://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm
Hope this helps – please let us know how you get on 🙂
