On an enormous project what is the best report in MS Project 2013 to give an overview to Sr. Management? The project is big enough that a report could be run instead on specific components, but the same question then applies, which report to run! I don’t have MS Project 2013 but might be able to briefly get my hands on it to run some reports, and hence my preemptive question.

      Thanks!

Depends. What does senior management need to know? What’s important to them? What are their biases in regards to cost, quality/requirements/deliverables or schedule? Think of these biases in terms of tradeoffs. Find the answers to these questions and you can craft the reports necessary to satisfy their need to know. The “how” is the easy part.

Mike is correct. The depth and breadth of reports is endless. But, if you can get ahold of a Project 2013 version I would highly recommend it. Reporting is the biggest feature of Project 2013. There are several dashboards with multiple graphs and charts available to see and use out of the box, and you can tweak any one of them to get most any idea you want. Good luck and happy reporting…
