      Hello,

IN EPM 2010, in the PPM (Strategy) section of Define Properties. There is a dropdown list for the Analysis Primary Cost Constraint, where do I go to change the content of that list?

      Thanks,

      Normand

Normand, it is supposed to list all project cost and number custom fields. Is that what you are seeing?

Are you saying that you have Project level Cost and/or Number custom fields that don’t show up? Are there any attributes that are different with these fields than with the ones that are showing (although that shouldn’t make a difference). It’s a bit hard to troubleshoot as in the forum. If that’s not the case then I’m not sure what is happening.

do you have the list of default fields that are supposed to show up in the dropdown in the page in the: Portfolio Analyses/define properties/Analysis Primary Cost Constraint drop down menu

This blog talks about modifying the web part: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/Sharepoint/en-US/c317e711-0461-442c-ba48-d0e6bc43b067/epm-2010-cost-analysis-scenarios-custom-fields-use?forum=projectserver2010general

I’m not sure how to help you here. The blog post was about access the data from the results of a portfolio analysis. Your question is about the dropdown values in the Cost Constraint. There are no defaults because there is nothing in a new instance (well, now there isn’t). I believe in 2007 and maybe 2010 there were many default custom fields, views, etc. but they have since been removed )saves me from doing it). The questions in my second response still holds. Do you see Project Cost and Number custom fields that you’ve created that do not show up in the dropdown? Hope that helps…
