I would like to compare a resources assignments (Using Assignment id) (Project Server 2013) to work completed in the recent past (last week, last month). It appears that when Actual Time is submitted on an assignment for a date (time-phased) – Work is now equal to Actual work. I am currently running a report that compares baseline assignment to work – but perhaps there is a better way.

My goal is to compare resource commitments to project time to what they really deliver.

      Any ideas?

Sheryl, great question. You are correct with your conclusion on how Microsoft Project works. Using one of the baselines can certainly work. You might also want to look into exporting to Excel each week (or whatever time period) and then use Excel to compare dates. Bad news is that it will require a bit of setup. Good news is that you don’t have to deal with doing baselines each week and you have a history of data. Hope that helps…
