Tagged: EPM, Microsoft Project 2010
We set up generic/non-employee EPM users in Project Server 2007 — like “administrator”, “project manager”, “tester” and “developer” to use in initial project planning. Now that we’ve migrated to Project Server 2010, I can no longer see those users in my PWAServer SettingsManage Users list. However, these generic resources are still out there somewhere because we can still choose them from the “Build Team from Enterprise” EPM list in Project 2010. Are these generic users stored somewhere else in PWAServer Settings? How do I find them to make any edits? Thanks much.
Laurel,
My guess is that these were setup as Generic “Resources”, than Generic “Users”. If that is correct, then you will find them in “Resource Center”.
if they were set up as Generic Users, for some reason, then you will need to go to Resource Center, confirm they are not Generic, and then make sure the option box “resource can log on to Project Server” is checked.
Thanks for the quick help! They’re in the Resource Center as you suggested. Thanks much!!
