In earlier versions of MsProject I could show a bar under the roll-up summary task to visually show where the progress is at. It was particularly useful when showing the plan in the Outline 2/3 view
Edgardo, you can edit the summary task display to show %xxx complete. Will that work for ya?
I know how to show the % Complete as a number (left or right of a summary task). What I am interested is a progress bar showing underneath the summary task bar
Edgardo, are you asking about a progress bar in the Gantt chart? I don’t remember any version that shows a progress for summary tasks, but you can add that to the Gantt view by using the Bar Styles option. Go to the Format ribbon, Format, Bar Styles. Copy the current Progress Bar style to a new line under the existing styles, and enter the contents of the Show For…Tasks similar to the Summary Task or Manual Summary task. Hope that helps…
Great, Thanks Larry! I found that you also need to change the “To” setting (right column) to % Complete. With this a progress bar is being shown across the summary task with the % complete
