I did a WBS dictionary and in many of my projects I am using the same codes in any sites (i.e. requirements gathering – WBS Code 1.2.3). I am using this code wherever I need to gather requirements, but how can I roll up so I now the combined or summarized requirements gathering effort and summarized start and end dates?
One way is to use the Group function in MS Project. By creating a Group that keys on the WBS along with a cutomized View you can generate a roll up of your WBS accounts which will summarize (roll up) data and allow you to produce a report.
