      Hi all

I have added a number of tasks to the timeline but I then wants to filter those tasks in the Gantt view. I thought there used to be a flag for items which have been added to the time line but I can’t seem to find it in the field list.

      Any ideas?

      Regards
      Sean

Hi Sean, unfortunately you are correct that there isn’t a Timeline field. I’ve used a flag to duplicate the timeline tasks and use for filters.

How do I add actual work hours in Task Usage in Timescale in Actual Work column without it changing my Work hours or mainly from not changing my Start and Finish dates? In other words can I de-couple Work, Start, Finish from entering actual hours in Actual Hours Timescale column daily entries or can I add a new generic actual hours worked field to to the Timescale details list or is ther a example view that where someone has made that does this? Want to not have Project change my planned Start, Finish dates and also record actual hours worked for any date whether they fall under the planned duration or not.

George, Baseline Work might work if you aren’t using it for setting a real baseline. It’s a trick but baselines don’t affect task information.
