I am using MS Project 2010 Professional. I need to print out To-Do lists including the task notes. I have done this before and have a hardcopy printout on my desk. But, I cannot recreate it. On my hardcopy the task notes appear on the left of the report right under the Indicators, Task Mode and Task Name. They appear multi-line just as they are typed in the Notes tab of the Task Information. I attempt to create the report >>Project tab >>Reports >>Assignments >>To-do List >>Edit button >>Details tab… When I get here the Task Notes check box is greyed out. If I attempt to go through >>Print >>Page Setup the view tab is greyed out. I would appreciate any suggestions. I prefer to avoid exporting and getting Excel involved. Thanks. Mike Brooks
Mike, your issue is that you selected an assignment report. It’s been a while since I used reports and I think I see your issue. I still don’t know why but by selecting Entire Report instead of Weeks opened up the Task and Assignment checkbox options. Hope that helps…
Thanks Larry, you are right, I needed to stop using the assignments report. I was able to easily create a custom report which enabled me to show both the task notes and the assignment notes in a good format. Thanks again. Mike Brooks
Glad it helped, and happy reporting…!!
Hi – I’m using MS Project 2016 – I also used the to-do report with notes ticked. I cannot find this option in 2016 version.
