Hi, Im a scheduler in construction field, I have prepared resource loaded schedule (cost, work, material) in MS projects, while tracking through % complete I find the actual cost column is not getting updated whereas the material & work gets updated. One more finding is that when a particular activity is having only one resource ie cost then actual cost gets updated, but if the activity is having more than one resource (eg cost & work) then actual cost doesnt get updated. Kindly clarify
Hi Gayathry, the behavior you are getting is by design. Best practice and Microsoft recommendation is not to combine cost and other resources on the same task because of the behavior differences. Hope that helps…
