I am working on building some custom report templates in MS Project. I would like to add the current date into the report. I know I could add this to the printout in the header or footer. But I would like to add a cel within the report that shows the current date on the report like I can do for the Project’s name.
Thanks,
David
As you found out, current date is not available out of the box. The only way I can think of is to create a custom task field called Current Date with the formula [Current Date]. Then create a one field table at the project level with that field. Hope that helps…
Hey Larry,
Thanks for the info. I can now stop scrolling through the hundreds of fields in search of [current date].
I settled on adding it in the header of the document.
Thanks again,
David
You are welcome, and glad the solution worked…
I was so glad to see this question asked and answered. Unfortunately, I need more details to pull it off. Please help me locate a custom task field while in the reports tab (Project 2013). Thank you!
Hi Sarah, you need to open the Custom row by selecting or double clicking the Custom row for that field type. It might look like it’s already open by default but it isn’t. Hope that helps…
