Best Study guide for Certification in Project 2010

I am looking for recommendations for the best study guide to help me pass the exam. I need it to be as inexpensive as possible so a book would probably be best!

Just back from the MS Project 2012 Conference in Phoenix, where I passed exam 70-178 (Microsoft Project 2010: Managing Projects). This exam results in the MCTP credential.

Microsoft states there no official study materials or practice exams exist for 70-178. I made of the book “Ultimate Study Guide: Foundations Microsoft Project 2010” available from Project Experts (or Amazon). It took about 8 weeks to read the entire book and complete the practice labs. Even if you don’t sit for the test, your knowledge of MS Project will greatly improve.

I scored about 80% or so on each of the test sections. No score is supplied other than a bar chart and 80% is an estimate on my part.

I also have the Project Server book from Project Experts. We call it the “Gold Book of Knowledge”!

I took the on-line version of this, and it was much quicker (and probably much more expensive). It took me about ten days, but this was hitting it fairly hard every night. I didn’t find the book in my original searches, and am sure that comparing the costs now will make me feel quite sick. The course was nearly $300, but was very effective. I passed first time at around 90% in most areas. I agree with Dave that it will greatly improve your Project 2010 knowledge. The msProjectExpert folks know their stuff.
