      I am experiencing a problem with durations changing on successor tasks when I am updating a task in my MSP 2007 schedule.  For example: Task A – was originally set to start on Dec 1, but due to resource contentions I need to push the start date out a month. When I do this (adjusting lag time) the successor task durations increase.  My tasks are all set to fixed durations, with a constraint type of as soon as possible (effort driven is not selected).  The successor type is sometimes FS and SS.  Any idea why the durations are increasing on the successor tasks…

      Even if you have fixed duration tasks if the resource is not available it could affect the duration of the task.  If you are doing resource leveling, this could affect is also.
