Tagged: MSP dependency rollup
Hi All
I’m using MSP to show a view of an enterprise plan. To do this, I’ve used Summary tasks for each part of the enterprise and I’m rolling up the relevant information that I need to show. That way I can show the overall summary at one glance and I can expand the tasks to see the detail. Rolling up the milestones is working fine. However I’d also like to be able to see the dependency lines when only the Summary tasks are visible. At the moment, once I hide the subtasks, the dependency lines disappear so I only see the milestones on the summary task but not the dependencies between those milestones.
Is there a way to do this in MSP?
thanks for your help
Ellen
Hi Ellen, if I understand what you want, I have to say that’s not a standard way to display tasks on a timeline. The assumption is that one summary bar follows another. You have summary bars, right? If so, you can change the display of the bar to better reenforce the connection. Right click on the right side of the Gantt, and select Bar Styles. Then adjust the Summary Appearance. Here you can also play with From and To to further customize the display. Best, Jigs
