An excellent (and well presented) set of common sense reminders for the value of recording and relying upon observations during the entirety of project execution. Lessons learned can be best thought of as long term insurance for avoiding repetitive wasteful actions...or, the "pay me now or pay me later" mentality can catch up with you with a vengeance.
